Ministry Prayer Focus

Fasting and Prayer 2015

Day 1

Good evening all

I'm convinced that a season has come upon us where we will see God do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think however we must stretch ourselves just a little more to secure the promises of God so they can become our life.

We need you to continue going forward with us so together we can glory in the great things God has done.

God has given us a Word for the New Year and as I mentioned during our Sunday service, we will again be starting the New Year off with Fasting as we continue with the "First full week of January" starting Monday January 5 and "corporately" going through the end of service on Sunday January 12. These 7 days represent "rest" as God completed His work in 6 days and on the 7th day He rested.

As always, we encourage you to seek God in the manner of your prayer and Fasting and the duration of Fasting and Prayer throughout 2015. There is a teaching on Fasting on our Web site at

Thank you for being part of our New Horizons vision. There's much to be grateful for and God has been faithful to us. Our desire is that now we would experience as a living reality the things that have been placed in our hearts.

We love you and move into this New Year and season with an even greater expectancy that what God has decreed shall be so in your life.

Please check your email this week for updates to this memo... Also, share with those that may not have access to email.

We love you!

Day 2

Thank you for joining with us this week as we seek God's will for our lives, the ministry and His Kingdom.

Our hope is that through this time of Fasting and Prayer we will all be strengthened in our faith and see our level of expectancy for what God wants to do increased.

So we do not approach the year with blinders on, it's important to realize that no one knows what the entire year will hold for them. We expect the best and plan for a year without challenges, but knowing the Word of God we also know that as we plan, those plans are subjected to God's greater purposes. Therefore we are not unassuming when it comes to what lies ahead.

However we are approaching the upcoming days with a spirit of faith that declares that God's purposes shall indeed prevail and the end result of our lives shall be much better than what we are beginning the year with.

Yes indeed, this is a year of increased grace¦ the unearned, unwarranted, unmerited and undeserved "favor of God. This is a season in which it shall increase more and more.

The responsibility of each Christian is to see their lives in the light of God's Word and accept where they are while doing everything in their power to become the person God intends for them to be.

This takes being the "perfect Christian out of the equation while you work on being perfect. God knows our flaws and knows what is really in our hearts. It's through the grace of God that we are able to approach His throne and receive mercy to help us in our time of need.

With this said, what will it take to position your life as best you can so this year can reflect God's grace through you?

1] Repentance as it's through having a heart that is sensitive to the convicting power of the Holy Ghost that you will be able to keep your conscience free from guilt and condemnation when you sin. Hebrews 9:14 / Second Chronicles 7:14

2] Remain obedient to God in the small things so they can produce the harvest God desires in all areas of your life. It's the "little foxes that spoil the vine and if we leave the seemingly insignificant things unchecked, we will find that they will become greater challenges in the days ahead. Song of Solomon 2:15

3] Become a student of the Word as studying is your life-line to balance and maturity. The reason many Christians are both unbalanced and immature is because of this one fact, "much study is wearisome to the flesh. Therefore God is calling His people to stretch themselves and study to show themselves approved unto God. Ecclesiastes 12:12 / Second Timothy 2:15

4] Find yourself even more in the House of the Lord. Often what God says is through an exhortation or sermon that is released during a Bible study or prayer. This is where God is speaking specifically to those attached to the House of God that you are joined to. Make this a priority and when you come, have an ear to hear what¦ "¦the Spirit is saying to the church. Hebrews 10:25 Revelation 2:7 through 3:22

The greater purpose for our fasting and Prayer this week is that we would draw closer to God because without Him our existence in the earth will be meaningless.

This is the cry of our hearts in the midst of these things and with this said I pray¦

Father, in the Name of Jesus I come to You today thanking You for renewing my heart and vision for the things You desire to do in the earth through me.

I submit my will to Yours and thank You that what You have begun You will bring to completion in order that You will receive great glory through me.

I begin this time of seeking you with Fasting and Prayer with a humble, repentant heart that seeks Your Face. Thank you for forgiving me of all my sins and I purpose in my heart to live in a manner that is free from sin and therefore live in a manner that pleases You.

I set my heart and mind in agreement with Your Word and seek Your Face with the intent of attaining what Christ Jesus laid hold of for me.

You are a Gracious God and have called me into Your service. I step up to the plate this year and choose to be the person that I know You want me to be.

I ward off every evil spirit, laying aside the weights and sin that has slowed me down and now with faith, hope and patience, I run the race this year without looking back.

I choose to be a person that will help others; looking for the best in them; I choose to be a person that has the salvation of other in the forefront of my mind and I choose to be a person that will be an example to others of what a Christian is supposed to be.

I guard my heart with all diligence for out of it comes the issues of life. I guard my family; I guard my church; I guard my city; I guard my nation. I am a "Watchman and as You desire, I stand in the gasp and make up the hedge so our nation will not be destroyed.

Therefore, I set my life and heart in agreement with You and ask that You will grant me great success this year as Your grace and Favor rests upon me this year.

Thank You for choosing me and I choose to never let you down.

In Jesus' Name,
