The Power of Choice

Your life is made up of your choices and framed by the words of your mouth.

Consider Hebrews 11:3

  1. If your situation has gone on for an extended period of time, you may have permitted your present circumstances.

Whatever you tolerate you permit to exist.

Your choices can create or change your circumstances

Your circumstances are not permanent.

Consider II Corinthians 4:18

Either accept the present without complaint or make the decision to use your faith and attract a miracle from God.

  1. When the pain of staying the same exceeds the pain it takes to change, then we change.

We can change through pain or we can change through choice.

Consider Deuteronomy 30:11-20

Choice is the power, right or liberty of choosing: options.

An option stresses the power to choose and is widely used in the sense of granting exclusive rights to make a choice.

To choose means to select from a number of possible alternatives.

Alternative emphasizes choices between only two possibilities or courses of action.

  1. To choose means:
    1. To decide and pick out
    2. To prefer above others
    3. To want of desire
    4. To make a choice

Where are your choices taking you?

  1. Happiness or sadness
  2. Success or failure
  3. Closeness or distance
  4. Life or death
  5. Blessing or cursing

The Power of Choice II

          Empowered to Choose

Consider Hebrews 11:3

  1. Life is a series of choices

If your life is chaos, choose to change

What you will not confront you will not change.

Where are your choices taking you?

  1. Consider Joshua 24:15

Your choices

  1. Direct your steps
  2. Determine your relationships
  3. Determine your behavior
  4. Change the quality
  5. Shape your life
  6. All choices are first secret ones because they happen first on the inside then later the results can be seen by all.

All choices bear responsibilities, benefits and consequences.

Learn to count the cost before you act or react.

People never change what they believe until their belief system cannot produce something they want.

Choose to change today!

          Hindrances to Choices

Your life is made up of your choices and framed by the words of your mouth.

Consider Hebrews 11:3

  1. Pressure, need and emotions all add pressure to our choices, timing and options.

Procrastination limits your options

Procrastination means:

  1. To put off doing something until a later date.
  2. To put forward until tomorrow
  3. To postpone or delay needlessly
  4. Consider Ecclesiastes 11:6…

Procrastination is the art of keeping up with tomorrow

Putting off easy things makes them hard and putting off hard ones makes it almost impossible.

Most crises are a result of delaying an easy decision.

  1. You don’t have to be prisoner of your circumstances created by procrastination

Consider I Kings 18:21

Now is the acceptable time.

Now is the opportune time.

Choose to do a daily agenda.

Choose to build your daily assignment around you’re assignment.

You will be remembered for two things: the problems you solve or the ones you create.

Procrastination limits your choices!
