Married in 1984, David and Brenda on October 27 joyously celebrate 25 years of marriage. The Father’s grace has remained upon them through the years as to this union were born two daughters. In 1986 Kantrell added to their joy and 1988 Tyese graced them with her presence and charm. They are blessed with their son in law, Richard N. Wright and are the proud grandparents of three grandsons: Andre Malik Speller, Richard Davion Wright and their newest addition, Romario Ishmael Wright.

Pastors David and Brenda have a heart to see people of all walks of life and races come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; grow to their full potential; mature in their Christian character; and become worshippers of our Heavenly Father.

New Horizons First Family

Pastor David is a life-long resident of Albany, New York. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1982. He was ordained into Christian ministry in 1990 by Pastor Bob Hulett of the House of Praise Ministries. Together he and Brenda stepped into the call that was on their lives, beginning what is now New Horizons Christian Church. A graduate of Philip Schuyler Senior High School and the National Outreach Bible Institute, he remains an avid student of the Word of God.

Pastor Brenda is a long time resident of Albany, New York. Born in Shubuta, Mississippi she received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 1982. She was ordained into Christian ministry in 1995 being separated unto the work the Lord called her to. Pastor Brenda graduated from Quitman High School in 1972. She received a Certificate in Biblical studies from Rhema Bible College and in 2009 graduated from Maria College with a degree in Psychology.

Starting New Horizons in 1990 as Unity Christian Church, having a strong emphasis on teaching the Word, the church has evolved into a body of Believers whose desire it is to worship the Father in Spirit and Truth while demonstrating their love to the Son, Jesus Christ by obeying His commands.

Pastors David and Brenda consider it a privilege to be members of the Network of Local Churches. Founded in 1999 under the apostleship of La Fayette Scales of Columbus, Ohio and formally organized in August, 2002.
